Caltech Y welcomed JPL director and Caltech alumna Laurie Leshin to the Friends Dinner on February 28, 2023 at the Athenaeum. The quarterly event offers Caltech Y donors the opportunity to meet student members and learn from some of the top minds in science and engineering.

As a sponsor of this event, Mandala Space Ventures provided an opportunity for early career scholars to participate in an intimate discussion with Dr. Leshin as she described her journey to becoming JPL’s 10th director and presented her vision for JPL moving forward.

Mandala is focused on promoting knowledge, investing in innovation, and building strategic partnerships between Caltech, JPL, NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration industry, and the government to positively impact life on Earth in terms of economic development, climate change, global communications, and space infrastructure.
