Mandala Space Ventures and Lightyear Space Announce Strategic Partnership

LOS ANGELES, October 28 2026

Mandala Space Ventures is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Lightyear Space, a startup building a network that distributes precision time independently of GPS and every other GNSS constellation.

The World Runs on Precision Time

Precision time is the invisible backbone of modern infrastructure. It helps power grids detect and locate faults, keeps satellite ground station command and control accurate, timestamps trades in financial markets, enables telecom network connectivity, and keeps data centers running efficiently.

The problem? For nearly all of these sectors, GPS is the primary source of truth for time, and that signal is remarkably easy to lose. Jamming, spoofing, space weather, or a simple equipment malfunction can deny it without warning.

So what happens when the world's clock is lost? That's the question Lightyear Space was built to answer.

Introducing LightTime

LightTime is Lightyear's timing service. The company plans to deploy a global network of TimeHubs, and critical infrastructure sites connect to them directly. Each site gets a highly resilient, independent timing source that keeps operations running when GNSS can't.

A globally synchronized ground network opens the door to bigger opportunities in orbit. Lightyear plans to extend their services to take advantage of what precision synchronized time makes possible. .

Meet the Founders

Lightyear Space founders Brennen Miller and Elan Eisner.

Brennen Miller, CEO, brings ten years of space industry experience. He’s supported programs such as the Hubble Space Telescope, OSIRIS-REx, Lucy, JANUS, Blue Origin's lunar lander programs, and recently served as the head of AI&T at Karman+. He notably led the time synchronization architecture for Blue Origin's MK1 lunar lander, and has spent his career on programs operating outside the range of GPS.

Elan Eisner, COO, brings extensive program and project management experience. His work spans Blue Origin's lunar lander programs and ULA's Vulcan launch system where he worked alongside engineering teams to turn their designs into executable plans, budgets, and schedules.

Together, they bring the deep space heritage and execution experience needed to keep the world's clock running, no matter what happens to GPS.
